It’s been the warmest winter in the south of Nor

It’s been the warmest winter in the south of Norway since I’ve moved here.

At this time last year, there was plenty of snow in Oslo and around. Everyone was skiing, enjoying outdoors and admiring the snowy landscape.

Now, to see the real Norwegian winter, you need to drive out of the city into the mountains or travel more north. The snow is there and it is magical, but currently not inside the city, as it used to be.

There’s a change happening.

Uzbekistan.

It was one of my biggest discoveries of the last year.

I’ve always wanted to go to Central Asia. To hike in the snow-capped mountains, to see wild horses galloping through the steppes, to meet local people.

Uzbekistan wasn’t really in the picture. I was focusing on Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan (because, well, mountains), but then due to the weather I needed to shorten my time in the mountainous regions, and I decided to visit Uzbekistan. Solo.
It was the best decision that I could take.

Would you guess where this picture was taken?

It’s mountains of Petra in Jordan.
Petra is so much more than just the Treasury, which features most of the photos from this place. The magic of the golden hour on the top of the mountain in Petra was my first sunset of the last year.

This year, I watched the sun drop on the Mediterranean coast in Turkey. Funny how quick the time passes (and how slow I am with updating my Instagram😉). But I believe that our experiences in this world are timeless. The places evolve and change, but their beauty stays in our memories.
